St. Thomas, USVI to Bermuda to Newport, RI

Offshore Passagemaking (ASA 108)

A 10 day passage of 850 nautical miles from St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands to Bermuda, followed by a 450nm passage to Newport, RI that features a Gulf Stream crossing. Instruction and certification in Celestial Navigation (ASA 107) and Offshore Passagemaking (ASA 108) is available.

To attain the Offshore Passagemaking certification you must do at least the St. Thomas - Bermuda leg, or both legs. The Bermuda - Newport leg alone is not sufficient to complete all the requirements of the course.

This price includes boat, instructor, provisions, running expenses, customs and immigration fees, tests and certification fees. Not included are personal safety equipment, expenses incurred off the boat, sextant, tables and books. Due to the nature of this course there is no textbook. We will send you a reading list, some of which you probably already have.
